Festive Dining

Respecting the Slow Food philosophy, festive dining at Petersham Nurseries is a celebration of the finest seasonal produce, quality ingredients and Italian flavours.
La Goccia

Start with a selection of seasonal cicchetti, before enjoying dishes from the wood fired oven and grill including Haye Farm lamb with sides including Tuscan creamed borlotti beans and roasted Haye Farm squash with crispy sage. Finish with Original Beans chocolate tart with crème fraiche or vanilla panna cotta with mulled wine poached pears, gingerbread.

The Petersham

Start with seasonal canapes including smoked mackerel and quinoa cracker or beef tartare with capers, shallots and horseradish. Starters and mains include mozzarella di bufala with roasted Delica pumpkin chili, roasted Haye Farm pork with celeriac and apple potatoes, garden chard and fillet of Cornish hake, pink fir potatoes, buttered leeks. For dessert, our Original Bean chocolate with Zisola olive oil ice cream and honeycomb takes centre stage.

Festive Afternoon Tea in The Petersham

A showstopping festive treat, enjoy savouries including turkey and sage stuffing on crostini, squash, blue cheese and walnut on a milk bun and quail’s egg with white Alba truffle. Along with our plain and fruit scones, clotted cream and Petersham jam, tuck into Christmas pudding chocolate choux bun filled with brandy custard, Gingerbread macarons filled with a gingerbread milk chocolate ganache an Italian clementine trifle and Petersham mince pies. A selection of teas are also available to enjoy alongside or indulge in a glass of prosecco or seasonal bellini.

Petersham Nurseries Café

Dine surrounded by festive foliage in our magical glasshouse, enjoying appetisers and starts to share, followed by a middle course of risotto with squash, taleggio and sage. Main include bramata polenta with wild mushrooms, duck egg, capers and parmesan, herb roast Haye Farm chicken with root vegetables, thyme and cimé di rapa or fillet of turbot with mussels, herb potatoes and sea purslane. For dessert, enjoy our Original Bean chocolate and chestnut tart with crème fraiche or indulge in a steamed date pudding with spiced custard.
