Felicity Jones Ceramics

Felicity Jones handmade pottery is created using the finest porcelain and white earthenware, crafted with pressed flowers collected from Petersham Nurseries’ own wild flower garden – including Daisies, Shepherds Purse, various grasses, Clover and Cow Parsley, placed into the clay. Hand painted using underglaze colours that create a beautiful watercolour effect, the rim is then finished with a gold lustre.

Anduze Pots

Named after the town in the south of France from which it originated, the Anduze style of terracotta pottery remains an iconic symbol of Provencal gardens. Embellished with hand applied floral garlands, these handsome, whitewashed terracotta vases have a raised lip and a sturdy base. Beautifully crafted, this is a highly decorative planter that will age with grace.

The Petersham Candle

Regular visitors to our shop will recognise – by smell if not by sight – our Giardino candle, created especially for us by longstanding supplier Cire Trudon, the world’s oldest wax-producing manufacturer.

Presented in an emerald green, hand-blown glass container and emblazoned with our Indian elephant crest, the candle encompasses the experience of wandering through a Victorian greenhouse. The smell of cut grass floating in from the garden outside, vetiver tatties hanging from the walls and flowers everywhere; freesias, lily of the valley, rose, and wisteria. A blend of floral and earthy notes evokes the English country garden as well as the temples of India.

Its distinctive scent has been bewitching customers and staff alike over the years – once you have enjoyed the scent in your home, it’s hard to be without it. Learn more about the Petersham candle here.

Astier de Villatte Ceramics

Handmade in Paris by skilled artisans, with clay collected from the Paris basin. Each item features delicate decorative elements washed in Astier’s signature milky white glaze.

This iconic brand challenges the traditional treatment of clay to produce ceramics that are remarkably light and delicate in appearance, though durable. With a playful take on classic French design these pieces can work as part of an understated mise-en-scene or elevate a table centre in your home.

Murano Glassware

Handmade, mouthblown glassware from the Murano region using ancient techniques. Murano is a series of islands linked by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. Its reputation as a centre for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and the destruction of the city’s mostly wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291. Our Murano glassware is available in a wide variety of patterns, silhouettes and colourways that can be mixed to build a collection to suit you.

Fedoras

Designed in Italy and made in France, these stylish fedoras are made from texturised paper with a double leather band around the rim. Suitable for both men and women, these hats are lightweight, elegant and practical. Available in a variety of chic and flattering colours.
