Teahouse

The Teahouse in Richmond offers wholesome seasonal food, complemented with fresh statement salads and homemade pasta throughout the day.

Alongside the savoury offerings are hearty homemade cakes, whole leaf teas and freshly ground coffee. We welcome all customers who visit the nursery at the Teahouse, Tuesday to Sunday each week, for walks ins (no reservation required).

On Sunday mornings car parking spaces are prioritised for congregation of St. Peters Church.

We do not take reservations for the Teahouse. Walk-in customers are welcome Tuesday to Sunday.

Afternoon Tea

Escape your everyday routine and transport yourself to the perfect English country garden setting. Experience an Afternoon Tea like no other, for a true reflection of the traditional tastes of the season, in a wholly new Afternoon Tea event, available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Brimming with delicacies that reflect our spirited style, and exuding romance and character, inspired by the natural world, this is an Afternoon Tea that departs from the traditional, engaging with new ideas to present an entirely different experience.

Our Garden Afternoon Tea provides the perfect opportunity for sharing special moments and creating lasting memories. Children can now dine with parents on their own curated menu, showcasing an assortment of treats reflecting our classic Afternoon Tea.

Dine within our greenhouses, brimming with fragrant bougainvillea and jasmine, surrounded by tree ferns. The greenhouses can be yours exclusively for a special occasion – providing a magical experience.

Ethos of Our Food

Provenance

Being one of the pioneers in the slow food movement, we celebrate traditional methods of growing quality ingredients. This ethos has flowed into building relationships with organic British suppliers and sourcing responsibly from small like-minded producers, including our own farm – Haye Farm Devon. Bringing the very best organic and sustainably produced meat and vegetables straight from the farm to our kitchens.

Seasonality

With our menus being refreshed through the season, our chefs only use produce which is at its peak. Most ingredients are British first, while some speciality ingredients are sourced from Italy – such as Parmesan, White Truffles, Olive Oil and Vanilla pods. As we are so seasonally led, the colours of the plate naturally reflect the changing view outside.

Simplicity

Our offering is simple in so far as we don’t seek to bathe ingredients in heavy sauces or to override or change their essence in any way. We are classicists. When we have beautiful produce, well grown and correctly sourced, we use them in our recipes in the simplest way to bring out their natural favour and beauty.
