Creating impact with Houseplants
A full day masterclass like no other, devoted to houseplants – the perfect opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to grow your own indoor plants.
The day sees Petersham Nurseries experts carefully lead participants through which plants to choose for the different spaces within their home. Throughout, guests will consider available light, space, temperature, and humidity, together with how much time is required for looking after horticultural housemates. By learning how to propagate, care for and style with indoor specimens, participants will depart knowing exactly how to bring plant life and colour to their homes and interiors.
Thomas Broom-Hughes will show participants how to style plants in their homes demonstrating the art of kokedama, how to use hanging planters, and using houseplants to create a dramatic living mantle and tablescape. At the end of the day guests will make their own terrarium to take away.
Guests could even bring a list of rooms yearning for some plant decoration with them if they wish, letting the Petersham experts suggest solutions and a care guide to suit every space and level of expertise.
In the afternoon, guests will be seated for a light lunch of dishes based on Petersham Nurseries’ philosophy of slow food, sourced responsibly and cooked simply to allow the favours to shine through.
