Barolo, the king of Piedmont, is powerful and rustic red with an intense and complex flavour profile. Earthy, with white pepper, tobacco and coffee aromas it pairs beautifully with tasty food, the best being truffles. This type of funghi is known for its pungent earthy character, just like Barolo. White truffles, known as Alba truffles, are from the same region and one of the highest-regarded species of truffle.

Wines will be paired with a menu crafted by our executive chefs at The Petersham, to honour Il Tartufo d’Alba.
