The children were delighted at the idea of ‘moving to the country’. The nursery owners, Bob and Annette Collett, were very indulgent with them, turning a blind eye as the kids used the bags of soil and compost as trampolines and crash mats. Bob was a fantastic vegetable grower and our son Harry stuck to him like glue, learning how to plant seeds and how to water, and helping out with propagation.
