RESTAURANT MANAGER, PETERSHAM NURSERIES CAFÉ

A new opportunity has arisen to join the team at Petersham Nurseries. We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to work closely with the Executive and Head Chef to manage and mentor our front of house team. As Restaurant Manager, you will have the responsibility for delivering quality service by training, developing and leading a well-briefed, motivated, customer-orientated team; planning, and communicating within all departments to deliver excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who would like to be part of a hardworking team, passionate about quality ingredients, thoughtfully sourced wine, seasonality and encouraging exceptional service and knowledge amongst the team. Primarily daytime shifts, with a handful of evenings (our Supper Clubs). Expectation to be available busiest shifts, involving regular weekends. FULL & PART TIME RESERVATIONS RECEPTIONISTS

Our reception and reservations team is hiring. Are you looking for a weekend part time, or full time position; have customer service experience, confidence with systems/ IT, and enjoy hosting and managing reservations? We’d like to hear from you. For this position, ideally available/ ready to work occasional/ regular Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Immediate start date. RESTAURANT, TEAHOUSE & KITCHEN OPPORTUNITIES

Passionate about food and keen to work in a creative, energetic, beautiful environment. We are currently recruiting across our restaurant, teahouse and kitchen teams. The restaurant is looking for experienced full time waiting staff as well as offering weekend casual front of house roles. The kitchen is reaching out to commis chefs for both the teahouse and restaurant, as well as looking for one more kitchen porter to join the team. EVENTS EXECUTIVE/ASSISTANT

A new opportunity within the events team at Petersham Nurseries. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual with excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal, to assist in planning, coordinating and managing the large variety of events held here. These include: group reservations in the restaurant, workshops within our School of Garden Inspiration, small functions in our private glasshouse and large events that take over the whole nursery as well as supporting on offsite events, such as Wilderness and Frieze. Florist and Gardener (Maternity Cover)

We are looking to recruit a Florist/Gardener with a wealth of experience, a creative eye and excellent time management skills to cover maternity leave. The role will be for 12-13months on a full-time basis (Tues – Sat). Responsible for the horticultural maintenance and upkeep of the entire site including our cutting garden - plant care, watering, planting, pruning, feeding, pest and disease management, full time floristry for restaurant, teahouse, and private events. You will have a proven track record with experience as a florist and gardener; be able to call on a broad knowledge of plants, plus relevant horticultural qualifications. Horticultural Sales Assistant (Part Time)

We are looking to recruit a Horticultural Sales Assistant with proven horticultural and retail experience and expertise. The position requires the highest level of customer service, demonstrating exceptional product/ horticultural knowledge, and building strong customer relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business. Horticultural Sales Assistants are also accountable for the ongoing care, maintenance, and upkeep of all horticultural elements of the business. The role will on a Part time basis, 4 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday). The role provides an excellent opportunity to work as part of a growing experienced team and to use your horticultural knowledge and retail skills within this dynamic environment.
